Final preparations are under way at Chester’s Forum Studio Theatre as Tip Top Productions prepares to stage a youth production of the smash hit West End musical Les Miserables which runs at the city centre venue from February 19-26.

Musical director Simon Phillips has assembled a cast of 35 young performers which is made up of some of the most talented 16-19-year-olds in the north west, plus younger performers in the roles of Little Cosette and Gavroche.

This specially adapted version of the show, which has been thrilling audiences worlwide for nearly 35 years, features all of the show’s hit songs including I Dreamed a Dream, Bring Him Home and Do You Hear The People Sing plus a live orchestra.

It is the first time that Tip Top have staged such an ambitious youth production.

The show’s director Simon Phillips said: “I am extremely proud of our wonderfully talented young cast who have worked exceptionally hard in additon to their school and college studies to bring what will be a very high quality production to the stage.”
