NORTHWICH 1st XV took a break on Saturday, but their 2nds, 3rds and 'Barbarians' were all in action.

Mike Taylor, with a try, conversion and penalty, registered all of the points as the 2nds defeated Wilmslow 15-10.

Tim Pickering and Ian Dale (tries) were on the scoresheet, both converted by Dale, when the 3rds went down 24-14 to a Rochdale side containing three former Canadian internationals.

Jan Cartman led a Barbarian XV which included a few old faces, such as Stuart Hough, Ian Finn and Dave Briggs. The Ba-Ba's beat Sandbach Vets 15-0 with tries from Dave Briggs and Andy Joseph, who also kicked a penalty and a conversion.

Northwich host Anselmians on Saturday. WINNINGTON Park 2nds maintained their winning form at Burrows Hill on Saturday.

They beat West Park 21-14 in a tight game decided by tries from Geoff Leach (2) and Rob Burchell, with Dave Hill kicking two penalties.

Winnington U13s were beaten for the first time this season, 37-24 at Stockport. Morten, Ferry, Dalglish and Tinker scored tries and Ferry landed two conversions.
