Moore 7, Crewe & Nantwich 72: MOORE suffered a mauling from third-placed Crewe in South Lancs Cheshire Two.

But they still showed spirit and determination against vastly more-powerful rivals.

The hosts scored a fine first-half try from Simon Richards after backs and forwards combined well to split Crewe's defence.

But from then on, it was one-way traffic as Moore were outgunned up front.

Moore showed tremendous spirit in what is now a relegation season but will want to take heart from a display that never saw heads drop.

Best for Moore were Fleming, Hallsworth and Marsden.
