SNOOKER: BROUGHTON Wings scored their second successive 5-1 win in the Chester and District League's Liberal Club Division, when they defeated Christleton B.

The only winner for the visitors was Chris Dixon who beat Archie Lamb. Clive Formstone had an emphatic win over Alan Lea and further wins by Steve Turner, Simon Moulton, Mark Jarvis and Russell Jones put them only four points behind Conservatives with a game in hand.

United Services C had a good 4-2 win over Transport with their first four players, McK-evitt, Walsh, Lewis and Cadogan, all winning, with Tilston and Scott replying for the visitors.

United Services A against St Saviour's B turned out to be a 3-3 thriller. Mark Roberts was no match for Wayne Amey, but Kevin Lyth beat Robbie Hayes on the black ball after a very good game.

Barry Charker was in good form to get the better of Carl Leeming with the help of a 36 break and Gerry Byewater was in blistering form against Peter Sheppard, hardly missing a pot and scoring a 38 break.

Alan Platt was too good for John Murray and Mike Davies levelled the match, to give a fair result.

Garth Anderson (St Saviour's) suffered one of his rare defeats at the hands of the very capable John Cunningham (CCO). Although Peter Tilston and Roy Proctor put Saints 2-1 up, Phil Heaney, Martin Dodd and Mark Lloyd all won for the visitors to keep them up with the leaders.

Two of the top teams played each other and Liberal took a 3-0 lead in this exciting Chester City Transport Division match. Alan Dagnall, Anthony Barnes and Pat Cooney won for the visitors, but Mark Hughes, Chris Stone and Dev Phang levelled the match.
