THREE Chester schools have qualified for the English Schools Track and Field Cup ‘A’ final.

Christleton High, The Queen’s School and The King’s School will join Grange from Runcorn in the June 12 fixture after winning age group team events at the Cheshire round of the competition, which was staged at Stanney Oaks athletics track last Tuesday.

Christleton scored 353 points to win the junior boys competition, while The Queen’s School won the intermediate girls team event with 321 points, and King’s won the junior girls team competition with 265 points.

A total of 450 pupils took part in the Stanney fixture.
