HOOLE Tennis Club is celebrating a smashing end to the summer.

Their young aces are basking in the glory of winning the Chester Under 14s and U16s League titles while their U18s boys team were group winners in the Cheshire League.

Their U12s boys team were group runners-up in the Cheshire League while the club also recorded a second-placed finish in the U10s Wirral League Division One and reached the semi-finals of the U18s Cheshire Monkhouse Shield Doubles Knockout.

Hoole starlets have also produced outstanding individual performances in Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) events.

Katie Merrick made it through to the U10s County Championships semi-finals, losing narrowly to the eventual winner, and Hayat Leung, aged just six, was a quarter-finalist in the U8s Mini Tennis Red County Championship.

Richard Drummond won an LTA U14s grade five tournament and finished runner-up in two others while Jamal Rizvi, Saleem Rizvi and Richard Speed were finalists in similar events.

Hoole – for whom seven players represented the club in the Cheshire County Junior Championships – provide a full coaching and competitive programme for juniors and adults.

Hoole is holding a Talent ID Fun Day on Monday, October 19 for reception school children to those in year 2, running from 4.15-6pm.
