WATER POLO: THREE water polo players from Halton have swum and shot their way to national success.
Runcorn's Ciara Pinnington captained the City of Liverpool C team to title glory in National League Division Three.
The 16-year-old student of Sir John Deane's College in Northwich is joined by Widnes duo, 18-year-old Laura Dyer and Alice Byrne, 14.
Laura, who attends Liverpool Hope University, coaches younger players at Halton Water Polo Club on Monday evenings.
Alice, a pupil of Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Sports College attends the regional training centre for her sport at Bolton School.
This is the first season City of Liverpool have entered a C team in the competition.
