STOKE Easy Rider Potters produced a solid team performance to beat Kings Lynn 53-37 at Loomer Road on Saturday.

The Potters suffered a slow start after falls to Glenn Cunningham, Jack Hargreaves and Claus Vissing, and fell behind.

But maximum points from Ben Barker and Barrie Evans in Heat 8 put Stoke 28-20 up. Barker just missed out as Daniel Nermark won Heat 10 but though Kings Lynn had further race winners, it was the home side that packed the minor places to maintain their eight-point lead.

Hargreaves came through from the back to win Heat 13 and a 5-1 from Lee Complin and Evans in the next ensured a home win.

Heat 15 turned out to be one of the races of the season at Loomer Road as both Complin and Barker passed Tomas Topinka and Nermark for a 5-1 that brought the house down.

Stoke SAS Spitfires take on near neighbours Buxton at Loomer Road tonight, and the Potters' next home meeting is on Sunday (7.30pm) against Berwick.
