CITY of Chester Swimming Club members have produced a series of sensational displays.

Every swimmer that the club took to the City of Stoke on Trent Swimming Club Open came home with personal best times.

Each year the younger City of Chester members compete at the annual event in a bid to achieve qualifying times for bigger meets later in the season, such as the Cheshire, the Liverpool & District, and the North West Regional championships.

The club’s travelling party, some of whom are in their first year of competitive racing, showed maturity beyond their years to the delight of head coach Lee Holland.

He said: “I am really pleased the successes at our own club championships are now transferring to the meets outside of our comfort zone.

“The swimmers certainly showed signs of having the qualities of top-class athletes.”

Multiple gold medallists Caleb St Hill and Millie Riddick were named the best swimmers for City of Chester, whose impressive medal haul ensured they finished the meet as the best performing club in the Cheshire area.
