SECTION One stars Albion and Section Three leaders Navvy Lads both lost unbeaten records in Runcorn Apec Taxis League.

Section Four leaders Lion Stonecutters are the only team in the league yet to taste defeat.

Even they were taken all the way in a 5-4 win over Burma. Addy Lads, 5-4 winners against Cherry Tree, remain two points adrift - best for the winners an 18-dart game from Paul Dukes.

Fiddlers Three, in third spot, are level on points with Addy Lads following their 6-3 victory over Prospect Has Beens. Fourth-placed Quayside defeated The Tup 5-4.

Section Three Navvy Lads' first defeat was against Halton Marauders - despite Eddie Turner's 18-dart game and a maximum from Mark Bazley.

The Marauders remain third but are now level on points with Navvy Lads and second-placed Tranny Rovers, 6-3 winners against Wanderers.

Ian Jones (Outcasts) checked out on 106 but his team lost 5-4 to Dreadnaughts, who are off the bottom.

Total Confusion find themselves in the basement, having lost 5-4 to Pavilions.

In Section One, Tricorn ended Albion's unbeaten record, beating the leaders 5-4.

Albion's Neil Dunbebin produced a 143 finish and Colin Rigby scored a maximum.

Albion still head the table on averages over Navvy whose 6-3 win against Clarry included an 18-darter by Neil Ward.

Kev's Killers had Stuart Bousfield winning in a 13-dart game including a maximum, while skipper Kev Jones produced a 153 finish.

But their team went down 5-4 to Tranny Lads. Lion Doo Waps remain in third place.

Section Two leaders Halfway Gents trailed 3-1 to Dock Lads but eventually ran out 5-4 winners. James Baines finished in 19 darts for the winners, who are now four points clear.

Union Tavern, beaten 6-3 by Welly, slipped from third to fourth position while Acorns, 6-3 winners against Grapes, lie second.

Acorns had a 17-dart doubles game from John Glover and Steve Finney while Neil Sanders shot a maximum for Grapes.

Bottom team Halfway Mixed scored a second successive victory, beating RAOB 5-4 - helped by a 101 finish from Chris Vaughan.

There is a new leader in Section Five again - this is Raven for whom Billy McNulty produced a 107 finish in a 5-4 win over Royal Oak.

Jolly Brewer, hitherto top, crashed 6-3 to Dray, who are now in second place. Dock remain in fourth after beating Castle Knights 6-3.

A 6-3 win over Bennett's Boys took Prospect into fifth place.

Friday's preliminary-round matches in the Doubles Competition saw Stuart Bousfield (Kev's Killers) record his fifth maximum of the season in a 17-dart game with Gary Johnson.
