ELLIE Debenham showed her rivals a muddy pair of heels to finish as the second lady in the Liverpool and District cross-country race at Arrowe Park on Saturday.
The City of Chester Triathlon Club team left their bikes and wetsuits behind to tackle the six-mile race over undulating parkland, their efforts providing valuable winter training.
Kenny Begley was first Chester Tri runner over the line in 37 minutes and 20 seconds, followed by Ellie (40:57), Chris Morgan (41:20), Gareth Blizzard (41:50), Phil Brown (42:03), Ian Parsons (42:05), Dave Taylor (43:47), Chris Hulse (44:28), Louise Cooper (49:43) and Dave Brierley (53:53).
