ELLESMERE Port Running Club members were exposed to the elements in a 9.6km seafront race in Hoylake on Sunday, November 9, for round two of the Winter Borders League.

First home for the club was Denis Duret in 22nd overall with a time of 34 minutes 48 seconds, followed by Ian Cooper (25th, 35:08), Chris Marshall (35th, 35:47), Graham Earlam (76th, 37:44), Nicky Bird (87th, 38:32), Mike Burns (92nd, 38:43), Paul Robertson (96th, 39:22), Danny Legg (102nd, 39:47), Dave Nalder (111th, 40:00), Jon Cole (114th, 40:26).

In the overall men’s team standings, EPRC are second from bottom of Division One, just ahead of West Cheshire AC. In the women’s team standings, EPRC are second from the top of Division Two just behind Chester Tri.

Back after a sub-three-hour Marathon in Amsterdam, Mark Dodd took the trip to Lancashire with fellow club runner Chris Marshall to compete in the Preston 10-Mile road race on Sunday.

Chris posted an impressive 58 minutes 59 seconds taking 16th overall and Mark posted a respectable time of 1:05:22 taking 68th overall.

Ellesmere Port Running Club meet at the Whitby Sports and Social Club on Tuesdays and Fridays at 6.45pm and welcome all abilities in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
