THE swimming squad from Merton House School hope to make a splash at the National Primary School Team Championships.
They will compete in the small schools freestyle relay and mixed stroke relay in Sheffield on June 23.
The team comprises Annie Thake, Holly McSalley-Bateman, Henry Underwood, Sam Arshad Roberts, Rebecca Neary and Christian O'Connor.
Coach Henrietta Finlay said: 'We are particularly proud of our children, who swim at the City Baths once a week, as they have beaten many schools who have access to their own pools.'
* Merton House scholar Eden Richardson is celebrating a hat-trick of victories.
The nine-year-old has won the under 9s Cheshire Championship, the Cheshire mini tennis title and the U9 girls singles crown at the Wirral Open. Eden missed out on a fourth title by finishing runner-up at the North of England championships.
