SPEEDWAY: STOKE Potters have completed their line up for the coming season by securing the services of Rob Grant.

Grant is the sixth member of last year's side to return and the 20-year-old Geordie says he is ready for the challenge after an injury-plagued 2004.

He said: 'A lot of my trouble last year was that I was tired after working night shifts. I've just handed in my notice to concentrate fully on racing and believe I can make a go of it if I concentrate and work hard.'

Promoter Dave Tattum is confident he has got the right man.

He added: 'Granty has looked very sharp at the training schools. He is young and very determined to make a go of speedway. The side is balanced and packed with a mixture of youth and experience and I feel we will see him up his average over the 2005 season.

'He has been out with Barrie Evans quite a bit at the training schools and they looked quite tidy. It's a partnership that I think can work.'

Tattum will attend meetings of the Conference League and Premier League promoters this week.

Meanwhile, Easy Rider has confirmed it will continue as main team sponsors in 2005.

'It's brilliant news and I'd like to thank Cyril Chell of Easy Rider for the support,' concluded Tattum.
