ELLESMERE Port’s Queen of Speed Jenny Tinmouth experienced a varied weekend at the British Superbike Championship triple-header at Oulton Park, writes Kevin Hughes.

In Saturday’s race Tinmouth, who struggled with the set-up of her bike following torrential rain throughout the Friday practice, came home in 20th on her Hardinge Sorrymate.com Honda.

She got the better of Saudi Arabia’s Abdulaziz Binladin following a race-long duel, scoring a best lap of 1.41.910 seconds (93.48mph) in the process.

In Sunday’s first race Tinmouth finished 21st despite improving her lap time to an impressive 1.40.998 (94.94mph).

However the gremlins set in during the third race of the weekend, forcing her to retire after seven laps while enjoying a dice with Binladin and Swiss rider Patric Muff.

Tinmouth will be hoping to get her machine sorted out and in top form for the next round of the championship at Brands Hatch.
