HOWIE Mainwaring made his return to racing action at a rain-lashed Brands Hatch.
The Frodsham rider, 25, has recovered from breaking his back in a motocross accident last October. He lined up on the grid for the National Superstock 1,000 Championship on Sunday, finishing 12th for the Buildbase BMW team.
Chester-born Jenny Tinmouth endured a frustrating time on her return to the British Superbike Championship.
The 33-year-old lapped competitively during the practice sessions but she slid off on the formation lap for the main race, a victim of the wet conditions.
