A 13-GOAL thriller graced the Chester Chronicle Section B on Sunday.

League leaders Highfield emerged on the right end of a 9-4 scoreline against Frodsham. Chris Larsen scored four for Highfield, added to with a double from substitute Scott Broadbent and goals by Neil Fields, Craig Broadbent and Matty Cross. A Graham Serch brace, an Alan Greenhow strike and an own goal were all Frodsham could muster in reply.

Bank of America kept up their title challenge, beating Bromfield 5-1 with Jay James, Steve Sewill, Matt Owen, Steve Bevan and Brian Worrall getting on the scoresheet. Liam Durcan netted for Bromfield.

Gardeners Arms beat bottom-of- the-league Boughton Hall 2-0. Carl Fowley and Mike Murray scored for Gardeners.

Waverton defeated Upton YC 4-2 thanks to strikes from Craig Owen (2), Jim Turrell and Phil Goodhall.

In the second round of the FA Sunday Cup, Corner Pin romped to a 6-3 win over Custom House. Andy Shelton, Dale Harris and Dirk Tattws scored for the losers.

In Concorde Trophies Section A, second-placed Vicars Cross Dynamos won 5-2 against Dee Rangers, who could only respond with a Mike Jeffs brace.

Greyhound Inn overpowered bottom-placed and pointless Grosvenor Celtic 7-0 to go top of Dale Recycling Solutions Section C with a Mike Bryant hat-trick, a Lee Edwards brace and goals from Kev Garland and Lee Howell.

Ring O’ Bells trounced Carlton 6-1. Andy Austin grabbed a hat-trick while Andy Taylor, Dale Williams and Ola Owalbi were also on target. Jordan Sands scored for Carlton.

Red Lion triumphed with a 5-1 win against Inter Barrow thanks to goals from Greg Dudley (2), Jamie O’Brien (2) and Kev Jones.
