THE King’s School has added two more titles to its extensive list of sporting achievements.

The Chester school’s sixth form girls have won the Chester and District under 19s crowns in both netball and hockey.

The hockey girls also won the Cheshire round of the national schools hockey tournament, beating their namesakes – The King’s School in Macclesfield – in the final. The win puts them through to the North West semi-final.

Krista Jones, head of girls’ PE at The King’s School, said: “Girls hockey and netball have gone from strength to strength at The King’s School and our teams are regularly winning both district and regional competitions.

“The girls have worked very hard to achieve this success; we are all very proud of them.”
