THERE is just no stopping Chester in North League Division Two (West).

The unbeaten pacesetters made it six wins on the spin in the sweetest of fashions on Saturday.

Their latest victims were relegation-threatened rivals Wrexham.

A 2-0 derby victory ensured Chester stayed first on goal difference from second-placed Lytham St Annes, who have played a game more.

Skipper Steve Edmonds and Pete Evans were on target for Chester, who host Bebington this Saturday (12.30pm) before travelling to face Wigan the following day (1.30pm).

Chester 2nds lost 8-0 at leaders Lancaster and Morecambe on Saturday but bounced back to draw 2-2 at home to Formby 2nds on Sunday.

Chester 3rds were also involved in a weekend double header, losing 5-0 at home to Colwyn Bay and then drawing 1-1 at home to Brooklands MU 4ths.

Promotion-pushing Chester 4ths drew, 2-2 at Denbigh, as did league rivals Chester 5ths, 4-4 at home to Oxton 5ths.

Chester Ladies earned an excellent 2-2 draw at home to table-topping Bowdon Ladies 2nds.

Chester Ladies 2nds drew 3-3 at home to title rivals Macclesfield Ladies.
