A round robin group stage kicked off the National League Trophy and Deeside Ramblers came out on top. The club’s under 16s took on Southport and Bolton with no keeper and only nine players available and despite falling behind in the opener to Bolton they came back to win 6-2.

They did it again in the second game, trailing 3-0 after 15 minutes only to run our 8-3 winners at the end, thanks in part to a six-goal haul from Lucas Pollard.
