GRANGE Athletic are the best groomed team in the West Cheshire League after signing up sponsors The Boutique.
The bespoke hairdresser on Station Road, Little Sutton, won a special draw organised by the club to find a sponsor.
Manager Mike Sloan said: “Rather than looking for one business to offer us £1,000 or more we went to all the smaller businesses and sold tickets at £20 each.
“We drew a ticket and The Boutique won. For £20 they get advertising all over Liverpool and Cheshire on our shirts and we get the money from the ticket sales to pay for kit, plus 50% off the squad’s haircuts!”
Grange’s match at home to Maghull Reserves in Division Two was postponed due to rain on Saturday. Their next fixture is this weekend’s league derby with Willaston.
