HEAVY rain over the weekend ripped through the local football programme.
No matches took place in the Ellesmere Port Sunday League and only one of Saturday’s scheduled 29 West Cheshire League fixtures went ahead.
The excellent drainage at Marine Park enabled reigning Division One champions West Kirby to take on Castrol Social, who were beaten 8-0.
