SCFC 94 (Wayne Manning 2, Steven Brown) sprung a surprise as they won 3-2 at home to Woodlands (Rob Stockton, Richard Orme) in the Ellesmere Port Sunday League George Williamson Memorial Jubilee Challenge Cup first round.

SH Groves sent Bull (Tommy Sheils 2, Danny Higginson 2) packing 8-4, Seahorse (Mark Roberts 3, Danny Riley 2, Mark Jenkins, Gary Handley, Will Morton) settled for 8-3 at Travellers Rest (Phil Evans 2, Phil Sailes), as Yeoman FC (Ricci Bill) won 4-3 on penalties at home to Grace Reserves (Steve Jones) after it finished 1-1.

In the Premier Division, there were 6-2 wins for Westminster (Carl Frost 4, Carl Ngiam, Josh Wonderley) and for Cat at home to Groves Villa (Damien Walters, Ross Manders) and GMC FC respectively.

Sporting Westminster (Kev Gardner, Paul Parsonage, Paul Boyle, Neil Clowes, Matty Kincannon) were 5-0 winners at Old Wirral Hundred, but Wing Half (Danny Page 2, Neil McKinnon) had to work harder for a 3-2 home success over Grace (Kevin Leach, Andy Barlow).

Two games were played in Division One with Hope Farm Rangers (Mike Hall 2, Danny Postings, Adam Tinsley, Mark Hearn, Mike Gibb) winning 6--0 at Sir Robert and Woodlands Athletic (Matt Kavanagh, Kevin Morris, Peter Barnett, Scott Cooper) edging a six-goal encounter at home to WC Direct (Danny Lynch, Danny Blundell) 4-2.
