THORNE Plumbing & Heating made it five wins from five in the Ellesmere Port Sunday League.

The Premier Division leaders defeated A&J Aquatics 6-4 courtesy of goals from Smyth (2), G Davidson, Forster (2) and Davenport. Dermot O’Donnell netted all four goals in reply and still ended up on the losing side.

Woodlands, two points behind Thorne in second spot, racked up a 3-0 win at RWJ FC with goals from Mark Hampson, Tim Ferguson and John Wainwright.

There were goals for C Lloyd and Paul King as Cat overcame White Swan 2-1, while Grace Arms won 3-1 at Woodlands Athletic.

D Dorris (2) and Steve Armitage got the Grace goals, with Jamie Ellis replying.

In Division One, leaders Travellers Rest ran out 5-0 winners over SCFC 94. On target were Henry Nicholson (2), Phil Sailes (2) and Mark Wilson.

Jordan Ford bagged a hat-trick as Hope Farm Rangers swept to a 3-0 success over FC Saviours.

His feat was matched by James Henderson, who scored a treble for Grace Arms Reserves in their 3-1 victory at Sutton Marquis.

Matty Hall replied for Sutton.

The Cheshire Sunday Cup tie between Westminster and Pockets FC was postponed.
