ONLY one match survived the wet weekend weather in the Premier Division of the Ellesmere Port Sunday League.
It was a high-scoring contest as Cat ran out 4-3 winners over basement side RJW FC.
Cat’s goals were scored by C Lloyd, J Farley, Ian McTigue and J Eccleston. In reply, RWJ netted through C Rixham, M Burn and an own goal from D McTigue.
The three other matches in the division – including the top-of-the-table clash between Westminster v Thorne Plumbing & heating – were all postponed.
In Division One, goals by Phil Sailes (2) and Joe Cooper gave leaders Travellers Rest a 3-1 win at St Saviour’s (Lee Sailsbury).
Second-placed Cheshire Yeoman racked up a 5-1 success against Sutton Marquis (Matty Hall).
The Yeoman scorers were Mark Roberts (2), Michael Fawson, Jay Johnson and Keith Robinson.
Goals by Lee Beckett, Danny Norris and Stuart Jones gave Grace Arms Reserves a 3-2 win over Hope Farm (Lee Hearn, Paul Jones).
