Fancy taking in some live sport this weekend?

There is always plenty going on in and around the Chester area, so every Friday we be bring you this handy guide to when and where you can see sporting events in the city.

Here are three events you can catch this weekend.

1) Liverpool Under 21s v Benfica Under 21s; Lookers Vauxhall Stadium; Friday, November 20 (7pm)

Two of the biggest names in European football meet in Chester on Friday. The stars of tomorrow will be on show in this Premier League Under 21 International Cup clash, as Michael Beale's Reds take on a Benfica side who have won their first two Group B fixtures. Admission is £5 for adults, £3 concessions and £1 for U16s.

2) Chester FC v Woking; Lookers Vauxhall Stadium; Saturday, November 21 (3pm)

It's back to the Lookers Vauxhall Stadium on Saturday for this National League encounter. Woking are on the slide after making a strong start to the season, while the Blues are looking to extend their unbeaten run to three games. Home fans will be hoping Blues boss Steve Burr will celebrate 15 years in management in style.

3) Chester RUFC v Sedgley Park; Hare Lane; Saturday, November 21 (2.15pm)

This will be a tough test for Chester. Sedgley are flying high in the National League Two North table, lodged in second spot just six points behind leaders Macclesfield. Ninth-placed Chester were beaten at Huddersfield last time out.

4) Deeside Ramblers v Wakefield; Gardenhurst Estate, Tiverton (CW6 9NA); Sunday, November 21 (1.30pm)

If you fancy taking in some National League hockey, you can see the Ramblers host Wakefield on Sunday in this Men's Conference North fixture. The Ramblers were beaten 8-2 by Doncaster last Saturday - their heaviest loss at this level - so will be out to make amends this weekend.

5) Cheshire Phoenix v Manchester Giants; Cheshire Oaks Arena, Ellesmere Port; Sunday, November 22 (5.30pm)

The hoodoo has been broken! The Nix recorded their long-awaited first win at their new home last Sunday, beating Bristol Flyers in the British Basketball League Cup, and will be looking to make it two home wins in a row this Sunday. They will start as favourites against the struggling Giants.
