With just one week to go until more than 7,000 runners pound the streets of the city centre, Chester Half Marathon participants are being invited to a final free training run and seminar this Sunday (10 May).

The seminar will take place at Total Fitness in Chester from 9am with tips and advice to help runners prepare for the race during their final week of training.

Following this, there will be a training run with pacer-led groups running at various speeds to help runners find their racing pace before the main event on Sunday 17 May.

Race organiser Chris Hulse from Active Leisure Events said: “We’d love to see as many runners there as possible on Sunday for our final session as we countdown to the Chester Half Marathon.

“It’s a great way to meet other runners and share tips and ideas and we’ll be there to offer any last minute words of wisdom or encouragement people might need too.”

The session is completely free and whether you’re running the Chester Half Marathon or not, you can simply turn up on the day.

Free training runs take place every month from Total Fitness in Chester and will continue from next month up until October in the lead up to the MBNA Chester Marathon.
