DONALD McCain is celebrating success in the Totesport.com Chester Cup - less than a month after winning the John Smith's Grand National.

The Cholmondeley-based trainer, who toasted a famous Aintree victory last month with Ballabriggs, was back in the winners' enclosure this afternoon.

With a trademark front-running performance in the big race of the three-day May Festival, 11-2 shot Overturn galloped to the line and won by one and three quarter lengths from Tastahil.

A delighted McCain beamed: "It’s magic - it’s the Chester Cup!"

He added: "We’ve been really positive. Everybody has been working their socks off at home. We’ve got a great team and he’s a fantastic horse.

"It was always the plan to come here. He’s a wonderful little horse and we got a great draw."

"If he never wins another race he’s done enough."
