Deeside Dragons’ growth at junior level continues with the club’s newest group of under 10s taking part in a tournament in Lancashire.

Playing against teams from host club Blackburn, Telford and Widnes, the squad included five players aged just six.

In November, the Dragons launched a new 12-week ‘Novice Night’ programme, which is designed to give basic skaters the skills needed to join club training and eventually become full club members.

Dragons have now seen the first batch of 10 players move from ‘Novice Night’ to become club players with a particular growth in the under 10s team.

Anyone interested in playing ice hockey are welcome to go along to ‘Novice Night’ on Friday evenings from 6pm. More details are available by email.

Deeside will be hosting an Endeavour hockey camp for the second year running in the May half-term holidays.

The camp is run by some of the best youth development coaches from America and Canada as well as having representatives from the NHL and will see junior players from across the UK take to the ice.
