DOMINANT Chester extended their astonishing winning streak to 12 wins out of 12 as they beat Warrington 5-0.

The result sets them up to make it a baker's dozen in their forthcoming crunch match at Prestbury.

The only scare of the night came in the first game when Jonathan Davies, still struggling with his form, found himself 2-1 down against 15-year-old rising star Ben Jones.

But the youngster started to feel the pace and Davies managed to raise his game sufficiently to wrest control and run out a 3-2 winner to put Chester one up.

It was a crucial win for Davies' confidence and it should help for the second half of the season.

Alistair Mutch, Chester's own young superstar, returned from his lay-off with a foot injury to overpower John Thompson, winning 3-0 while Michael Waight, perhaps not at his efficient best, was still too good for Doug Waller.

Waight has played in every Chester fixture this season and boasts the only individual record of played 12, won 12 in the North West Counties First Division, but he may find Prestbury represent a tough proposition on their home turf in the final match of the season.

Chester captain Jonathan Clark dominated against Alan Speatman to win 3-0 and, in the top match, Nick Taylor was simply devastating, beating South African Sean Pearson 3-0 to make

It should be a battle royal away to Prestbury, as both teams bring out their big guns.

Chester will be led by Alistair Walker, Nick Taylor and South African Steve Coppinger, with supporting players Jonathan Clark and Mike Waight.

Prestbury have world ranked Darryl Selby, Irish champion Derek Ryan and top professional Steve Siveter. There should be a packed crowd to watch what is clearly the match of the season. it a clean sweep.
