ANASTASIA Dobromyslova wasted little time in booking her place in the semi-finals of the women’s World Professional Darts Championships – after taking a swipe at TV companies for their lack of live coverage of the event.

The 27-year-old Russian, who lives in Ellesmere Port, swept aside Wales’ Julia Gore in Monday’s quarter-final.

It took her just 23 minutes to wrap up a 2-0 victory at the famous Lakeside venue in Frimley Green.

Dobromyslova will now take on Trina ‘Golden Girl’ Gulliver in the semi-finals tomorrow (Thursday) for the right to win a place in Friday’s final.

The match with nine-time world champion Gulliver is a re-run of the 2008 final, which Dobromyslova won 2-0.

The women’s championship runs alongside the men’s event but the BBC and ESPN – who are sharing coverage of this year’s tournament – are not showing any women’s games live.

Dobromyslova hit out at the decision this week, saying: “I think the women’s draw is exciting this year. It’s disgusting that it will not be shown live.”

The Russian is originally from Tver, two hours north of Moscow. She met husband Tony Martin – himself a darts player – at a tournament in Holland in 2005.

The pair tied the knot in 2008 and live together in Ellesmere Port.
