AFTER losing the first game to Cricketers Arms, Mill Brow hit back to take a stranglehold on their Cheshire Roof Trusses 501 match in Widnes & District Darts League.

As has been the trend in matches between these sides, Cricketers struck first.

But S Hanna's victory gave his side false hope as the Brow stormed back with five wins in a row for victory.

John Glover and Jimmy Reynolds triumphed in the singles with follow-up pairs victories coming from Stuart Bousfield & Mike Howard, Paul Linger & John Glover and Ray Booth & Jimmy Reynolds.

Brow pressed on through Stuart Bousfield before the Cricketers took their second game of the night thanks to Eddie Waterworth.

But it was definitely Brow's night as Mark Harrison wrapped up proceedings.

Halton Stadium's title hopes stayed on course after Barry Stanners had started strongly.

Our Mike's young gun R Pichilingi quickly levelled and C Taylor put the Mike's ahead.

The lead, however, didn't last long as the Stadium took all three games in the pairs through Barry Stanners & Joe Price, Phil Corless & Eric Peel and John Bowles & Alan Clark.

With defeat staring them in the face, Mark Lunt kept Our Mike's in it but Alan Moran and Alan Clark sealed the match.

WBC, at home to the Buffs, got off to a cracking start as they took the opening three games.

Ste Jones began the scoring despite Tez Gallagher hitting a maximum.

Alan Magee also hit a 180 in an 18-darter to make it 2-0.

The third game also produced a maximum from Buffs' Ray Dutton but Jason Haddock came out on top.

Ray Dutton & Tez Gallagher pulled a game back in the pairs, but after the two remaining doubles games, the points were in Bowler's pocket.

Ste Jones & Tex Bowles and Peter Bowles & Jason Haddock saw them home.

Remaining singles games saw the result out to a 6-3 finish in Bowler's favour.
