KATH Conway showed a steady hand to guide her Halfway Aces team to victory in the Pavilions-sponsored Barbara Rawlinson Memorial Darts League.

With the Section One league contest against Flights on a knife edge at 3-3, Conway held her nerve to take the decisive seventh leg.

Halfway followed up their 4-3 victory with a 4-1 Challenge win.

This high-scoring match featured scores of 128 from Louise Whitley and 118 from Jacquie Johnson - both for Halfway.

Team-mates Ros Davies (2), Carys Perry, Conway and Kath Furfie also hit tons as did Flights' Sue Evans.

Janet Gregory was another skipper to take the spoils for her team.

Her anchor-leg win sealed a 4-3 league victory for Bottom House over Navvy R Us, who came back strongly to take the Challenge 3-2.

This match included tons from Sheila Given from Navvy and Bottom House's Pauline Rowlands and Kim Talbot.

Raven had an answer to their 4-3 league defeat by War Memorial, winning the Challenge 4-1. Prolific for Raven were Jackie Duke with 104, Carol Bryan (106) and K Moss (128) while Warmy's Pat Kilkenny hit 106 and 121.

Three-figure visits from Julie Mumford (2) and Rita Bergquist engineered Halton RBL's 5-2, 5-0 successes over Pavilions Wanderers for whom L Lamb shot a consolation century score.

Section Two's Barge had scores of 100 from Helen O'Brien and 101 by Christine O'Brien when winning their tabletopper against Fe-Lions (Ann Robinson 132) 5-2, 4-1.

Carly Morrison and Cath McClarney each produced tons for Ex-Pat's who recovered from a 4-3 defeat against Croft to triumph 3-2 in the Challenge.

Burma celebrated a 4-3, 3-2 double over Pavilions which saw Freda Perry hit two tons when playing her doubles game single-handedly. Elizabeth and Irene Curbishly were the Halton Brook outfit's other century makers.

Pat's Angels had a 120 score from Ann Marie Bennett as they saw off Clarry (Ann Kerr 100) 5-2, 4-1.
