CHRISTMAS came early for Vauxhall Motors ABC as they enjoyed six wins out of six last week.

Victories at the Wallasey ABC show, Sefton Adelphi and Gemini ABC’s show was the perfect way to go into the festive season for the club.

First they sent four fighters to the Wallasey contest where Tom Lloyd made his debut with a points win over two-bouter Kyle Moore of Skelmersdale.

He was followed by Jack Kelly, another debutant, facing another two-bouter in Dyffryn’s Kelvin Davies. Kelly also took a points win.

Senior welterweight Sean Griffiths then faced Sean Walker of North Mersey and initially looked like he would spark him out.

But Walker dug deep and Griffiths had to adopt an orthodox tactical style to claim a points win.

Finally middleweight Miles Tunstall faced Willaston’s Alec Higginson.

Higginson dominated the opening exchanges but southpaw Tunstall scored with his right hook.

Despite a wobble in his concentration towards the end, Tunstall walked out victorious in a tough encounter.

Tunstall then fought Alec Roscoe on Sefton ABC’s card.

A second bout in a week proved no problem as Tunstall’s fitness proved key.

He took Roscoe’s best but was unlucky not to knock him out as he won his second match in a week.

Eddy Thomson faced Cleckheaton’s Jack Sunderland at Gemini ABC’s show.

Sunderland was quicker but Thomson was stronger and a standing count in the third was enough to hand the bout to the Motors fighter.
