NORTHWICH Rowing Club are launching their own Boat Race.

They are inviting businesses to enter crews in the event, offering them a morning's training, an afternoon's racing and a good day out.

Organiser Lynzi Evans said: 'One of the aims is to raise awareness of the sport among companies and offer them a unique experience.

'There will traditional regatta tankards for the winners and the traditional after-race celebrations, giving the crews chance to social-ise.

'It is the perfect opportunity for a business to bring their team together in a sport that requires individuals to work towards the same goal - winning.'

The Great Boat Race is for crews of eight with a cox and coach provided by Northwich with competition on a knockout basis.

The event is on September 3 and Northwich are telling companies it will 'enhance your business like no other advertising has achieved'.
