WEST Cheshire AC registered a championship record and a clutch of medals at Saturday’s Cheshire AA Track Relay Championships.

The club’s under 15 boys 4x100m squad of Chris Harrop, Matthew Pagan, Zac Barnsley and James McMahon clocked a new county record time of 46.4 seconds at the Cumberland Arena in Crewe.

Gold medals were also claimed by the U13 girls 4x100m team of Alice Barnsley, Emma Howe, Abbie Williams and Sophie Hemingbrough after posting a winning time of 56.8 seconds.

Shona Valentine, Alice McMahon, Jenna Sheehy and Ali Burkett combined to secure West Cheshire AC top spot in the senior ladies 4x100m with a time of 51.2 seconds.

Valentine, McMahon, and Burkett then teamed up with Emma Johnson to celebrate a winning senior ladies relay time of 5:01.9.

Anna Crayston, Ellie Finn and Erin Clynch bagged a gold medal in the U11 girls 3x600m relay with a time of 6:26.9, while Crayston, Finn, and Clynch, joined Holly Worthington in the 4x100m team who clocked 64.5 for silver medals.

The U11 boys trio of Sonny Dean, Jack Chapman and Paul Morrison celebrated success in the 3x600m relay with a time of 5:44.2, just ahead of West Cheshire AC silver medal trio Will Goodwin, Max Ross and Ben Grinter, who clocked 6:03.5.

The West Cheshire C team of Ewan Bradley, Adam Howe and Charlie Potts finished sixth in 6:27.9.

The U15 boys medley team of Cameron Weaver, McMahon, Barnsley and Pagan clocked 2:15.6 for silver medals.

Dean, Chapman, Bradley and Will Scott teamed up for silver medals in the U11 boys 4x100m relay with a time of 58.5, while the B team of Goodwin, Daniel Pagan, Howe and Ross finished fifth in 62.3. The C team of Paul Morrison, James Adamson, and Ben Grinter finished second in the Auxiliary Final with 64.7.

West Cheshire AC’s 3x800m senior ladies team of Jane Pickering, Ellie Robinson and Lisa Davies finished fourth with a time of 8:24.1. And the U17 ladies 4x100m quartet of Sophie Percival, Georgina Moulton, Emily Wood and Laura Jones finished fourth in 56.6.

Charlotte Williamson, Sophie Carter, Georgia Barlow and Emily Ball teamed up in the U15 girls 4x100m and posted 54.5 in their heat.

Chris Goodwin represented West Cheshire AC in a British Milers Club 800m race at Stretford’s Longford Park Stadium where he posted 1:56:05 for fourth position in the men’s B race.
