TWO more members of Chester Triathlon Club have booked their ticket to the World Championships.

Spirited performances in the Wakefield Triathlon were enough for Kelly Crickmore and Dave Humphreys to qualify for the Hamburg event this Se ptember.

Crickmore's excellent time of two hours, 33 minutes and 17 seconds over the 1,500m swim, challenging hilly 40k bike and 10k run, earned her a place in the GB team. The legal secretary from Chester will be joined on the plane to Germany by Humphreys, a fitness coach from Ellesmere Port, who clocked 3:11.38.

Ellie Debenham, Ruth Isaacs and Dave Taylor, who had already qualified in previous races in the series, came in at 2:33.32, 2:39.14 and 2:45.05 respectively, while Chester Tri's Michael Farr crossed the line in 2:43.34 with Monica Farr coming home in 2:52.00. n Chester Tri's Andy White made his mark in the Manchester Boundary Breeze Sprint Triathlon at Allostock as he came fourth overall in an excellent time of 1:03.54.

Simon Greenwood was the next Chester club member over the line, completing the 750m swim, 20k bike and 5k run in 1:10.59, followed by Jonathan Bradshaw (1:12.10), Stephen Spall (1:12.33), Keith Robbins (1:15.43), Matt Gibbs (1:15.46), Joanne Lawrence (second lady 1:17.12), Dave Whieldon (1:17.54), Samantha Roberts (1:18.56), Dominique Miller (1:19.18), Paul Miles (1:20.03), Emer McCarron (1:22.24), Wendy Williamson (1:23.15), Howard Coppenhall (1:31.12) and Paul Graham (1:31.47).

Sam Richards of Chester Tri's junior squad won his spurs in the youth event over a 400m/13k/3k course to come third in a time of 44:25. Sam has been selected to represent the North West in the Inter Regional Championships in Glasgow in September.
