Anastasia Dobromyslova breezed into the semi-finals of the women's British Darts Organisation World Championship, where she will face Fallon Sherrock.

Dobromyslova, who lives in Ellesmere Port, threw a 75.87 average as she defeated Redditch-based seventh seed Zoe Jones 2-0 in the quarter-finals on Thursday, losing just one lef.

She has still to drop a set in the tournament having beaten Germany's Irina Armstrong 2-0 in the first round.

Dobromyslova said: "My finishing was better than it was in the first round and I hit three doubles from three attempts in the second set, so I am very pleased with that.

"I will continue to do my job and trying to improve. I am desperate to win the title back and will carry on doing all I can."

Number two seed Dobromyslova, a three-time world champion having won the title in 2008, 2011 and 2012, takes on the 20-year-old Sharrock on Friday afternoon for a place in the final.

Sharrock, of Milton Keynes, beat Maria Mason 2-1 in the first round and Aileen de Graaf by the same score in the quarters.

Dobromyslova overcame Sharrock at the quarter-final stage last year before losing to eventual winner Lisa Ashton in the semi-finals.

In the past 12 months, the Russian has won four majors: the BDO World Trophy; the WDF European Cup; the Winmau World Masters and the Zuiderduin Masters.
