MOTOR SPORT: The Oulton Park racing season comes to an end tomorrow, but the track is going down with a roar.

That's thanks to the Aston Martin Owners Club and the vintage machines that will be competing on the classic Cheshire circuit.

The first race of the day has some of the oldest machines in it - dating back as far as a 1924, 4.5-litre Bentley to be driven by Oundle's Richard Frankel.

Another local competitor will campaign a classic American car - a Ford Mustang - in the AMOC Intermarque race. Little Budworth's David Yates will just have to go round the corner to Oulton for the race, competing against a host of cars that date back to the 1950s.

There will be a wide range of cars in action in a total of eight races tomorrow from Sunbeam Tigers and Austin Healeys through to Lotuses and Aston Martins of all varieties.

Tickets for the season's finale cost £12 per adult, with children aged 12 and under getting in free. Action gets under way with practice at 9am, and racing starts at 1.15pm.
