WAVERTON Wasps overcame the tough, blustery conditions to beat Upton Blacks 3-0 in the Olympic Trophies Under 11 Division.

Matt Simpson, Jordan Coxall and Alex Pridding all scored in the second half. Man of the match (MoM) went to goalkeeper Luke Williams.

Malpas defeated Princes Villa Colts 6-3. The hosts raced into a lead through George Cunningham, Tom Hayton (4) and Joel Nevitt.

Upton coped with the heavy wind that affected their game at Malpas in the U12 Olympic Trophies Division, winning 7-3 with goals from Matthew Beggs (2), Ben Roycroft (2), MoM Nathan Hickson (2) andŠThomas Messham.

Boughton maintained their 100% record by recording a 10-0 win over Westminster Park. Jamal Rizvi (4), Sion Brisbane (3), Jared Taylor, Matthew Gilmour and Shaun Ellson all netted.

Newton beat Westminster Park Warriors 4-2 through Jacob Roden (2), Matthew Lewis and Luke Newell in their R and G Logistics Ltd U13 Division clash. Duaine Meacock and MoM Tom Hearn got Warriors’ goals.

The heavy pitch didn’t stop Waverton when they took on Pulford. They registered an 8-0 victory over their visitors with goals from Dan Roberts (2), Ryan Cartwright, Stuart Swift (2) and Dale Hodgkisson (3). Pulford’s MoM was Sam Powell.

In the U13 Division Two, Chester Nomads Colts’ top-of-the-table fixture against Blacon Youth survived the weather and Blacon walked out 6-3 winners. Nomads’ goals came from MoM Thomas Johnson (3), but Blacon overhauled them in the second half.

Christleton New Scene’s U14s Division One match against Tattenhall saw the hosts score a wind-assisted seven goals in the first half before Tattenhall shut up shop in the second as the game ended 7-0. MoM was Finlay Pilkington for a sterling midfield performance for Tattenhall.

In the U14 Division Two, Blacon Youth Whites just edged their match against Pulford 3-2. Pulford took the lead midway through the first half thanks to Rory Benson, but Blacon fought back with Liam Lloyd taking the ball through the Pulford defence and squaring a pass for Augustine Bangura to tap in.

Chris Fath latched onto a wayward Bangura shot in the second to score, Harry Brightmore equalised for Pulford and a late penalty from Patrick Aldom handed the points to Blacon. MoM was Martin Bromwich.

Chester Nomads U13s sailed to a 9-1 win over Shore Villa in the Ellesmere Port Junior League.

MoM Luke Murphy, Eddie Charles-Jones, Joe Houghton, Callum Hopwood, Ryan Cartwright and debutant Jack Musgrave all scored for Nomads.
