More than 100 school pupils from Chester came together for a basketball extravaganza.
The Chester School Sport Partnership organised their Year 5 and 6 basketball competition at Stanney Leisure Centre, Ellesmere Port, where 14 primary schools from Chester took part.
Players from the Cheshire Phoenix BBL Squad and ex-Team GB basketball Paralympian Anna Jackson also attended the event to lend their support.
The competition was won by Dodleston Primary School who beat Overleigh St Mary’s in the final.
Dodleston will now go on to represent Chester Schools in the Cheshire County Finals in July.
Claire Smedley, School Sport manager, said: “It was a fantastic event with a high standard of basketball played from all schools.
“It was great to see the support of the players from Cheshire Phoenix to show the pupils what they can aspire to.”
