SAUGHALL Colts Blues got the better of Vicars Cross Dynamos as they won 6-2 in the Under 9s Shield.

Jackson, Winskill (3), man of the match Nicholson and Cobden all scored for the Blues.

Waverton Wasps and Westminster Park Lions shared the spoils in their 3-3 draw. For Park, Mohamed Saleh netted a brace while Dino Rantos hit a single. MoM was Liam Eldridge.

Newton Athletic lost 3-1 to Waverton Hornets, Harker (2) and Woollam scoring for Waverton. MoM was Jamie Owensheir. Newton’s MoM was Liam King while their goal came from William Hannigan.

In the U9 Cup, Chester Nomads drew 1-1 with Vauxhall Motors Astra.

MoM Jack Rogan scored three as Newton Athletic Eagles beat Saughall Colts Blacks 5-0. Bradley Wong and James Collinson were also on the scoresheet.

Castrol and Blacon Tigers played out a battling 0-0 draw. MoM was Blacon’s Lewis Coppack.

Christleton New Scene dropped points against Upton Panthers, losing 2-1.

In the U10s Cup, Westminster Park Lions lost 4-1 to Blacon Youth. Alex Goldsmith got Westminster’s goal but Sonny Dawson (2) and MoM Joel Harries (2) sealed victory for Blacon. Park’s MoM was Matthew Povey.

Boughton defeated Tattenhall 10-0 with goals from Joe McDermott, Harry Cunningham, Andrew Bewly, Connor Jones, Jordan Lee and MoM Sam Houghton.

Dominic Doherty (2) and Mathew Clewly scored for Newton Athletic in their 3-1 win over Christleton New Scene. MoM was Liam Madrill.

Chester Nomads slipped to a 2-0 home defeat against Upton Panthers, but Nomads’ Jack Chambers was still MoM.

In the U10s Shield, Christleton New Scene Reds won 2-1 away to Upton Jaguars. MoM was Upton’s Simon Johnson. Upton Pumas also lost as Castrol triumphed 3-0.

Waverton Hornets lost 3-1 at home to Hoole Hornets.

Waverton MoM Patrick Willis scored their first. Hoole MoM Sam Wynn-Hughes then found the net before Connor Walker struck a double for the hosts.

Saughall Colts and Westminster Park Tigers traded goals in a tremendous 3-3 draw. For the Tigers James Houghton, Harrison Lawson and James Davies scored and MoM was Joshua Frost.
