CHESTER Nomads defeated Boughton 2-1 in the Under 9s Cup.

Boughton scored through Joe McDermott and their man of the match was Sam Houghton.

Vauxhall Astra got the better of Blacon Youth, winning 2-1. Blacon’s goal came from Joshua Tillyer and their MoM was Elias Buchanan.

Newton Athletic beat hosts Upton Panthers 2-0 with goals from Jacob Davies and Joe Johnson. Jack Johnson claimed the MoM honours.

In the U9s play-off game, Waverton won a goal-filled meeting with Upton Jaguars 5-3. For Waverton, Harker got a hat-trick and Stanworth and Woollam one each. Upton scored through Shaw, Roxburgh and Allwood.

Waverton’s MoM was Ollie Marshall, Upton’s was Ben Shaw.

In the U9s Shield, Saughall Colts lost 2-0 at home to Westminster Park Tigers.

Blacon Tigers fell victim to Chester Nomads Colts, losing 2-1 thanks to goals from MoM James Bolton and Adam Halewood.

In the U10s Shield, Castrol Athletic ran out 5-0 winners over Upton Jaguars. MoM was Upton Jaguars’ keeper Oliver Martin.

Upton Pumas were stung by visiting Waverton Hornets as they won 3-1. Ellis Johnson got Upton’s goal but Hugh Gibson (2) and Patrick Willis sealed the points for Waverton. MoM was Samuel Jenkins.

In the U10s Cup, Chester Nomads and Newton Athletic were inseparable as they drew 1-1. Nomads’ goal came from Harvey France and Newton’s from Raquim. MoM went to Nomads’ Owain Ap Gareth and Newton’s Matty Clooney.

Upton Panthers beat Blacon Youth away from home 4-1.
