MALPAS & DISTRICT Reds made it seven wins from seven in the Chester & District Junior League Under 9s Yellow Division on Saturday.

Iwan Nevitt, Tom Fenney and George Smith shared the leaders’ strikes in the 3-1 victory at Saughall Colts (Callum Cope), for whom Jake Dwyer was man of the match. David Tute starred for Malpas.

Newton Athletic Eagles won 3-0 at Castrol Rangers while at the other end of the table, Waverton Strikers drew 2-2 at home to Helsby.

Christleton Newscene became the first team to beat Green Division pacesetters Blacon Youth.

MoM Lewis Hodgeson, played in by Joe Swindles, put the visitors in front before Kai Hardcastle cooly slotted in number two and then set up Jack Attwood to seal a stunning 3-0 success. Jack Lockley was MoM for Blacon.

Chester Nomads (Will Robinson) drew 1-1 at Malpas & District Blacks as Waverton Bullets lost 2-0 at home to Castrol Athletic.

Upton Panthers took over top spot in the Red Division with a 9-0 romp at Vicars Cross Dynamos Colts.

MoM Archie Hughes, Joe Melia, Luke Simm, Paddy McElland and Owen Hughes fired Waverton Arrows to an 8-0 Blue Division victory over clubmates Waverton Rockets. Newton Athletic remain top, though, after they won 8-3 at Upton Pumas.

Waverton Jets were 4-2 winners at home to Tarvin Athletic.
