BLACON Youth’s perfect start to the Chester & District Junior League continued on Saturday with a 6-1 Under 12s Division success at Chester Nomads Colts.

James Lloyd, Keenan Beaumont (2) Jack Davies (2) and man of the match Trey Lattie shared the strikes while Harry Riley made a fine penalty save to deny Nomads, whose consolation came courtesy of Sean Moscrop and for whom Joe Polding was MoM.

Malpas & District (Harry Cunningham, Tom Lightfoot, Patrick Horrocks) are also going well after they won 3-0 at home to Westminster Park.

Newton Athletic (MoM Jack Stanton 4, Henry Smith 2, Matty Sutch, Will Stokes) turned on the second-half style to win 8-3 at home to Vicars Cross Dynamos as Waverton Wasps were stung by a 9-1 loss at early pacesetters Ellesmere Port.

There were 9-2 victories for JFC Boughton and Blacon Youth in Under 11s Division One.

With Charlie Moore producing a man-of-the-match performance and Harley Bennion, Kieran Ball, Jack Tonge, Sam Carroll, Sam Ward and Calum Barlow finding the net, Blacon were easy winners at Waverton Rockets, as were Boughton at Waverton Jets thanks to efforts from hitmen Taylor Williams and Francois Antoine, and Daniel Watt, Iwan Brisbane, Jordan Mather and Jonathan Nixon.

Vicars Cross Dynamos (MoM Tom Walsh 2, Kieran Davies) won 3-0 at home to Malpas & District, for whom Ed Clowes was MoM.

Westminster Park Tigers (Tom Hancock 2, Matthew Jones) lost a competitive Division Two clash at home to Princes Villa 5-3. Ace Tom and Callum Davies shared the MoM award.

Hope Farm Rangers (Robert Evans, Hugh Hartley, Lewis Brookes 2, Luke White 2) sneaked it 6-4 at Elton Youth (Ben Tideswell 3, Sam Coleclough), for whom Harvey Peacock was MoM, as Upton ran out 4-3 winners at home to Grove Rangers.
