MALPAS & District picked up their first three points of the Under 16s Division One season after withstanding a brave fightback to win 3-2 at Pulford on Sunday.

Led by man of the match Dillon Walker, Malpas edged a close contest with goals from William Foster, Alex Hailes and Charlie Horrocks after Nathan Evans (2) gave Pulford hope.

Elton were the headline makers in Division Two with a 5-0 home victory over Westminster Park given to them by George Mecklenburgh, Luke Lawes (2), Tom Johnson and Jack Arundel.

Sam Alexander was Elton’s MoM.

Unbeaten leaders Waverton won 1-0 at Rossway United but second-placed Newton Athletic Eagles were held to a 2-2 home draw by Blacon Youth.

Newton Athletic made it two wins from two in the Under 17s Division as they stormed to a 6-1 home success over Vicars Cross Dynamos.

Two well-taken goals from Lewis Donovan and further strikes from Joe Williams and Sion Brisbane ensured JFC Boughton Under 15s won 4-1 at Ellesmere Port in the Cheshire Junior Cup.
