DANIEL Vickers marked his return to playing football with a man-of-the-match display as Hoole Hornets (Sam Wynn-Hughes, Conner Wilks) won 2-1 at home to Hope Farm Rangers in Chester & District Junior League Under 13s Division Two on Sunday.

Princes Villa ran out 9-0 winners at home to Upton.

Table-topping Chester Nomads (MoM Luke Chard 4, George Black 2, Dominic Doherty) maintained their unbeaten start to Division One with a 7-0 success at Malpas & District.

Joel Harris was the match-winner and Marley Jones was the MoM as Blacon Youth recorded a 1-0 home victory over previously-unbeaten JFC Boughton.

Upton took advantage of Boughton’s slip with a 4-0 home cruise over Waverton Wasps.

Two games took place in the U12s Division with Upton winning 5-2 at Princes Villa and Chester Nomads Colts (Joe McDermott; MoM James Harker) losing 4-1 at Ellesmere Port.

Blacon Youth made it 11 wins out of 11 in U11s Division One.

Harley Bennion (3), Sam Ward (2) and Brandon Burrows got the goals as the runaway leaders triumphed 6-0 at Malpas & District.

MoM Christopher Tillotson, Tom Walsh, Alexander Haggart, Dan Holland, Joe Cody, Owen Bennett, Kieran Davies and Jack Weckerle shared the strikes as Vicars Cross Dynamos won 9-2 at Westminster Park Lions (Nathan Bowker, Liam Davies), but JFC Boughton (Taylor Williams, Brendan Reade; MoM Daniel Wait) had to settle for a 2-2 draw at Groves Athletic.

Division Two pacesetters Upton shaded a close contest at home to Princes Villa Colts 3-2.

Second-placed Saughall Colts (Jack Booth 2, Luke Hughes 2; MoM James Harrison) kept up the chase with a 4-1 victory at Elton Youth (Ben Tideswell; MoM Lauchlan Stanier), while it finished 0-0 between Groves Rangers and Hope Farm.

JFC Boughton (Lewis Donovan 3, Cameron Clark 2, Callum Woods) won the sole U15s Division match of the day 7-0 at Upton.
