Vicars stun leaders

BLACON Youth’s 12-match unbeaten start to Chester & District Junior League Under 11s Division One came to an end as they lost 4-2 at an impressive Vicars Cross Dynamos side.

Jake Tonge and Brandon Burrows reduced the deficit for the pacesetters, for whom George Kiernan was man of the match.

Malpas & District (Will Morris, Oscar Welsh; MoM Henry Eddleston) were beaten 6-2 at home by second-placed Groves Athletic.

Saughall Colts won their big top-of-the-table Division Two clash at home to Upton 2-0.

Elton Youth (Ben Tideswell, MoM Sam Coleclough) drew 2-2 at Hope Farm as Westminster Park Lions were edged out 3-2 at Princes Villa.

Chester Nomads Colts continued their Under 12s Division resurgence with a 7-1 home success over Vicars Cross Dynamos.

Lee Bryce, James Bolton and Zac Soutter – with a fine header – struck before the break; stand-out performer Andy Fox (2), Adam Halewood and Robert Armatage – with a real thunderbolt – after it.

Upton lost 3-1 at Ellesmere Port.

Luke Chard hit a hat-trick as Chester Nomads moved within one point of top spot in Under 13s Division One with a 3-0 victory at Upton.

Cameron Tye and Sean Maddocks shared the man-of-the-match award for Nomads.

Waverton Wasps won 7-3 at home to Blacon Youth while Malpas & District (Adam Hailes, Nick Dodd, Matty Tute; MoM Ben Black) suffered a 5-3 defeat at home to Groves Athletic.

In Division Two, Hoole Hornets fell 3-2 at leaders Princes Villa and Waverton Bees were beaten 5-2 at Hope Farm Rangers. But Waverton Hornets enjoyed success, 2-1 away to Vicars Cross Dynamos.

Nomads up title tilt

CHESTER Nomads boosted their Under 14s Division One title bid with a 4-1 win over JFC Boughton.

Dan Williams reduced the deficit for the visitors, for whom Jack Minshul won man of the match.

Chester Nomads Colts (Ben Johnson 2, Ali Dunn; MoM Jack Powell) are also in the hunt after their 3-1 victory at Groves Athletic.

Upton (Oliver Satchwell, Sam Sprigeon, Jake Stanley; MoM Brad Davies) hauled themselves level on points at the Division Two summit with a 3-0 triumph at a Westminster Park Lions (MoM Chris McCartney – and after table-topping Newton Athletic Youth drew 4-4 at Princes Villa Colts.

Liam Blake and Josh Shaw goals ensured JFC Boughton closed the gap on the Under 15s Division leaders with a 2-0 home win over Saughall Colts.

Waverton drew 3-3 at Westminster Park.

Park Saints lost their unbeaten Under 16s Division One away record as they went down 5-1 at Newton Athletic in spite of top-scorer Stuart Swift’s strike and a MoM show from Luke Young.

Princes Villa jumped above Park and into pole position with a 3-0 home victory over Pulford.

Waverton are now five points clear at the top of Division Two after they won 4-2 at Blacon Youth.

Elton Youth (Tom Johnson 2, George Mecklenburgh; MoM Mason Brandrick) were 3-2 winners at home to Newton Athletic Eagles.

There was a 5-4 home success for Westminster Park over Hope Farm Rangers, but Chester Nomads (Chris Martin; MoM Matty Jones) lost 2-1 at home to Rossway United.

Despite the efforts of man-of-the-match Ketan Dhital, Pulford were on the end of a 2-1 home loss to Under 17s Division pacesetters Newton Athletic.

Blacon Youth (MoM Gary Cripps, Jack Sharpe, Tom George) won 3-1 at home to Vicars Cross Dynamos.

CHRISTLETON Newscene’s superb Under 9s Cup form continued on Saturday with a 3-1 victory at Westminster Park Panthers given to them by Harvey Jones, Will Goodwin and Luke Allen.

Ollie Parr replied for the Panthers, for whom Arthur Devaney and Daniel Kefford shared the man-of-the-match honour.
