Edwards nets three

LUIS Edwards scored a hat-trick and was the man of the match for Malpas & District in their 3-3 draw at home to Vicars Cross Dynamos in Chester & District Junior League Under 11s Division A.

Christleton Newscene moved two points clear at the top of Division B after they won 8-2 at Newton Athletic Eagles and Runcorn Linnets were held to a 4-4 home draw by Blacon Youth Tigers (Ryan Dickson, Calum Cowley, Bradley Broadbent, Harry Whitehouse; MoM Cameron Emond).

Goals from Alex Earl, Tom Fenney and Craig Norris, along with a man-of-the-match show from Jack Wright, ensured Malpas & District got off the mark in Under 12s Division One with a 3-0 victory at home to Newton Athletic.

Battling Blacon Youth (MoM Liam Davies 4, Yaseen Sati) fell 8-5 at home to Saughall Colts in Division Two.

Waverton Jets moved top of Under 13s Division One with a 4-1 win at home to Newton Athletic, for whom Callum Fitzsimmons made a fantastic penalty save and Ceuron Jones netted a great consolation.

Man-of-the-match Tom Walsh (3), Charlie Jones (2), Owen Bennett, Rory Harper, Joe Cody and Thomas Townsend fired Vicars Cross Dynamos to a 9-0 success at home to Upton.

Blacon Youth (MoM Kenny Brown 2, Kieran Ball, Sam Ward, Leighton Ashford, OG) were in Cheshire Cup action, winning 6-2 at Sandbach United Eagles.

Westminster Park Lions won a Division Two thriller at Elton Youth 8-5 with goals from Matt Ward, Oli Bonnick, Jack Twist, Ethan Sands and Jack Rigby.

Lauchlan Stanier, Sam Coleclough and Jack Youd replied for Elton, whose MoM was Callum Bennett.

Luke Pritchard was the man of the match as Malpas & District (Charlie Dearling 2, Jacob Holden, Christophe Fostier, Harry Cunningham) continued their fine Under 14s Division form with a 5-0 win at home to Waverton.

Ben Hodgeson was the MoM for Blacon Youth in their 1-0 defeat at Ellesmere Port. Vicars Cross Dynamos (Liam Edge, Jack Bebbington; MoM Pete O’Brien) also lost 4-2, away to Princes Villa.

Ben Curry, Connor Fowles, George Dobson Oli Hailes, Christian Cadman and Oliver Cornforth were the Malpas & District marksmen in their 9-0 romp at home to Tattenhall in the Under 15s Division.

Goalkeeper Matty Owen played a starring role as Newton Athletic (Danny Cappadona 2, Danny Lloyd, Danny Jones, Callum Price, Charlie Derbyshire) won 6-0 at Upton South in the Under 16s Division.

Chester Nomads won 5-3 at home to Blacon Youth, for whom Rayner Gray and Connor Dean did not deserve be on the losing side.

Blacon’s goals came courtesy of a Liam Whitfield 30-yard free kick, an Elliot Smith penalty and a super solo effort from Brandon Garland.

Warriors march on

WAVERTON Warriors maintained their perfect start to the Chester & District Junior League Under 9s Red Division season by beating Saughall Colts 8-0.

Archie Ford (3), man-of-the-match Dylan Allen (2), Saul Corry, Oscar Jackson and Charlie Williams got the goals. Harry Mason was the away side’s MoM.

Princes Villa Colts (Mathew Walker, Reece Lowe, Ashton Aylward; MoM Luke Conor) won 3-0 at Blacon Youth Tigers (MoM Daniel Youds).

Saughall Colts Blues (Ewan McQuair 4, Oliver Hitchcox 2, Drew McMillan, Ben Price, Marcus Bertram; MoM Jamie Jones) were 9-0 winners at home to Ellesmere Port Rangers (MoM Cassias Martin) in the Yellow Division.

Blacon Youth (Jack Williams 2, Mason Cooper 2, Daniel Carine; MoM Alfie Parry) won 5-0 at home to Groves.

MoM Finn Spry, Thomas Shone, Jack McKie and Archie Williams shared the strikes in Malpas & District Reds’ 7-3 victory at Chester Nomads Colts in the Blue Division.

There were also wins for Vicars Cross Dynamos (Sophie Welch 2), 2-1 at home to Helsby, and Upton Panthers, 4-0 away to Waverton Wasps.

Jake Shenton produced an MoM display but Malpas & District Blacks went down 2-0 at Westminster Park Pumas in the Green Division.

Newton Athletic won 9-0 at Chester Nomads Ambers (Adam Gorle MoM); fellow high flyers Blacon Youth Whites (MoM William Mead 2, Charlie Rowlands, Callum Whitfield, Ali Abdul) 5-0 at home to Upton Pumas.

Waverton Bees fought back from two goals down to a draw a fantastic Under 10s Blue Division match at home to Saughall Colts 4-4.

Jaidon Thrussell (2) grabbed a last-gasp equaliser for the Bees, for whom Bailey Kimmings and man-of-the-match Mahad Zain were also on target.

Sam Crimes and Charlie Evans struck and Mason Pickin was the MoM as Blacon Youth won 9-0 at home to Princes Villa Colts in the Green Division.

Waverton Wasps (Harvey Solomon, MoM Archie King, Henry Wagner, Fin Taber, Louis Mullineux) were 5-0 winners at home to Vicars Cross Dynamos Colts (David Zimnicki MoM) while Newton Athletic Eagles left Groves with an 8-0 victory in the bag.

Max Warner and James Palgrave-Jones shone for Malpas & District in their 9-0 home loss to Newton Athletic in the Yellow Division.

Upton Panthers won 3-1 at home to Ellesmere Port Rangers as Chester Nomads (Calum Caulfield) drew 1-1 at home to Vauxhall Motors (Nathan Farrington).
