Dynamos fight back

VICARS Cross Dynamos came from two goals down to win a pulsating Chester & District Junior League Under 12s Division One clash at Malpas & District 3-2.

Alex Earl and Alfie Smith had put Malpas, for whom Jack Wright was named man-of-the-match, in control of the contest.

Jamie Jones was the MoM as Blacon Youth won 3-1 at home to Waverton in Division Two with goals from Yaz Sati (2) and Liam Davies.

Caelan Unwin, Billy Morgan, Charlie Berry, Charles Ackers and Lloyd Lashmir shared the strikes for FC Porto in their 9-3 victory at home to Vicars Cross Dynamos Colts (Alex Mason, Jason Taylor, Tom Bailes).

MoM Daniel Sandys starred for Porto.

Malpas & District kept up their Under 11s Division A title challenge with a 3-2 win at home to FC Porto given to them by Luis Edwards, Tommy Lloyd and Lewis Charlton.

James Jacks was the Malpas man-of-the-match.

Blacon Youth won their big Under 13s Division One encounter with Waverton 5-4.

Harley Bennion (2), Sam Carroll, Kieran Ball and Callan Barlow did the damage for Blacon, whose man of the match was Kenny Brown.

Two other teams battling it out at the top of the table had to settle for a point apiece as Malpas & District (Henry Eddleston, James Ferguson, Oscar Welsh, Henry Dobson) drew 4-4 at home to determined Vicars Cross Dynamos.

JFC Boughton ran out 8-2 winners at home to Newton Athletic, for whom Jordan Mather and the returning Keenan Holdstock replied.

Warren Millington, Ben Hodgeson, James Lloyd, Mike Woolam and Trey Lattie fired Blacon Youth to a 5-1 victory at Upton in the Under 14s Division.

Lewis Coppack was the MoM for Blacon.

Malpas & District (Christophe Fostier; MoM Josh Charlton) went down 5-1 at home to Ellesmere Port.

Upton played some excellent football on their way to recording their second success of the Under 15s Division season.

Andy Boult (2), Tom Berry and man-of-the-match Ross Kelman were the marksmen in Upton’s 4-0 home triumph over Vicars Cross Dynamos.

MoM Connor Fowles could not stop Malpas & District from losing 6-0 at home to Chester Nomads.

Helsby remain the team to catch in the Under 17s-18s Division.

Will Magee, Sam Harrington and James McGregor struck as the uneaten table-toppers won 3-0 at West Kirby Panthers.

Hornets have lift off

WAVERTON Hornets are off the mark in the Chester & District Junior League Under 9s Yellow Division.

They picked up their first three points of the season by edging a closely-fought clash at home to Ellesmere Port Rangers.

The Hornets survived some early scares to run out 3-1 winners thanks to a well-taken hat-trick from man-of-the-match Tom Edwardson.

MoM Max Bainbridge was the stand-out performer for the Port, for whom Harrison Smith netted.

Blacon Youth (Ethan Evans; MoM Mason Cooper) lost their top-of-the-table battle at home to Princes Villa (Dillon Davies, Sam Dothwaite; MoM James Dillon) 2-1 but there was a 3-1 victory for Saughall Colts Blues (Ewan McQuair, Bradley Herbert, MOm Oliver Hitchcox) at home to Groves (Luke Byrne).

Christleton made it a magnificent seven wins from seven in the Under 10s Blue Division by edging out Saughall Colts 3-2.

Harvey Williams bagged a brace for visiting Saughall, for whom Matthew Harrop was the man-of-the-match.

Princes Villa (Jake Doig 2, Callum Hurst 2, MoM Thomas Fitzgerald, Reece Flood, Charlie Potts, Leo Pimblett) remained three points clear of second-placed Christleton with an 8-1 victory at Upton Panthers.
